Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

The Amulet of Trickery is a small, intricately designed piece of jewelry, fashioned from a curious blend of silver and black opal. The amulet hangs from a delicate chain and is adorned with a single, shimmering gem that pulses faintly with an inner light. This magical artifact is often sought by those who wish to turn the tables on their spellcasting adversaries, as it possesses a unique ability to mimic and store spells.

When the wearer witnesses a spell being cast within 60 feet of them, they can use their reaction  to expend a charge to store that spell in the amulet. To store the spell, the wearer must have line of sight to the caster and the spell must be of a level they can cast (e.g., if the wearer can cast up to 3rd-level spells, they cannot store a 4th-level spell or higher). The stored spell remains in the amulet for up to 10 minutes. If not used within this time, the stored spell dissipates harmlessly. While the spell is stored in the amulet, the wearer can cast the stored spell as if it were one of their own spells, using their own spellcasting ability and spell save DC. The spell is cast without expending a spell slot. The amulet can only store one spell at a time. If another spell is stored while a spell is already in the amulet, the previous spell is lost.
