This colorful, pliable substance feels soft and warm to the touch, like a small, ever-flexible ball of dough. It holds a faint magical glow, shifting colors as it moves between your fingers. The dough can be shaped and molded into various forms, its magic allowing it to become far more than just a toy.
Charges: This magical dough has 50 charges. The dough does not regain charges. Once the final charge is spent, the dough loses its magic and can no longer be used to create items or summon creatures. It hardens and crumbles to dust, its magic expended.
Molding and Shaping:
-
Create Non-Magical Items: You can spend 1 charge to mold the dough into any non-magical item worth 25 gold pieces or less. The item solidifies and becomes real, functioning as if it were a normal object of its type. For each additional charge spent, the value of the item you can create increases by 25 gold pieces. The play dough cannot create items of more than 250 gold pieces in value (10 charges). The item created remains permanently but looks like it was made out of the colorful dough.
-
Summon Familiar: By spending 3 charges, you can mold the play dough into the shape of a small creature, such as a cat, owl, or snake. This creature functions as though you had cast the find familiar spell, but it is composed entirely of the colorful dough. The creature is a fey and remains for 1 hour, after which it hardens and becomes nothing more than a small sculpture.
-
Summon Beast: By spending 10 charges, you can sculpt the play dough into the form of a larger, more powerful creature. This functions as the summon beast spell, summoning a fey creature using the stat blocks provided by the spell. The creature can look however you wish, molded by your hands into a colorful beast or fantastical shape, but it follows the rules of the spell. After the spell ends, the creature turns into nothing more than a small sculpture.
