Crafted by the ancient wizard Aeon the Timeless, this hourglass contains sands from the River of Time. Aeon used it to master temporal magic, protect his realm, and shield his people from temporal anomalies. The hourglass chooses its wielder, bonding only with those capable of harnessing its power.
Dormant - Granted at level 3
While you are holding this hour glass, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells and you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a +1 bonus to your spell attack, spell save DC and initiative rolls.
- Whenever you use the Chronal Shift feature you may also roll 1d4 and add or subtract it from the second d20 roll.
- The range of all spells you cast is increased by 10 feet.
- When you use your Arcane Recovery feature, you can increase the number of spell slot levels you regain by 1.
Awakened - Granted at level 6
While you are holding this hour glass, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells and you gain the following benefits:
- Your bonus to your spell attack, spell save DC and initiative rolls increases to a +2.
- The wearer can concentrate on two spells simultaneously. However, they must use their action each turn to maintain concentration on both spells. If they do not use their action for this purpose, they lose concentration on one of the spells (their choice). They can drop one or both of the spells as a free action.
At level 9 replace this item with Aeon's Hourglass (Exalted)
