Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Requires attunement by a Wizard or Warlock)

Akri'kesch the Soul Siphon is an evil sword containing the soul of the demon Akri'Kesch. A giant serrated greatsword made of a magically strengthened Drider leg, as well as the bones and sinew of several Drow slaves as a form of punishment for their misdeeds, the Soul Siphon is a sword forged by the order of a Priestess of Lolth, deep in the city of Menzoberranzan. The demon within the blade often whispers to the wielder, encouraging them to commit terrible deeds and attempting to persuade them to kill.

Whenever the wielder deals damage to a living creature using Akri'Kesch, reduce that creatures maximum hitpoints by half of the damage dealt and the user regains that many hitpoints as temporary hitpoints. This ability does not function when Akri'Kesch is not held directly by the wielder.

You can use a bonus action to toss Akri'Kesch into the air and speak the command word. When you do so, the sword begins to hover, flies up to 30 feet, and attacks one creature of your choice within 5 feet of it. The sword uses your attack roll and ability score modifier to damage rolls.

While the sword hovers, you can use a bonus action to cause it to fly up to 30 feet to another spot within 30 feet of you. As part of the same bonus action, you can cause the sword to attack one creature within 5 feet of it.

After the hovering sword attacks for the fourth time, it flies up to 30 feet and tries to return to your hand. If you have no hand free, it falls to the ground at your feet. If the sword has no unobstructed path to you, it moves as close to you as it can and then falls to the ground. It also ceases to hover if you grasp it or move more than 30 feet away from it.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
