This armor is made of translucent dragon scales. They shimmer in the light and appear opaque in darkness.
While wearing this armor, you gain a +2 bonus to AC, and you have advantage on saving throws against the Frightful Presence and breath weapons of dragons.
Each day at dawn the wearer may choose a type of dragon. The scales change to match the color of the dragon type chosen.
If the wearer is a Dragonborn, then when they use their breath weapon they may choose between their own breath or the type matching the current armor hue.
Each day at dawn, the scales become translucent and colorless again. They remain this way until the wearer chooses a new dragon type.
This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
