Weapon (shortsword), artifact (requires attunement by a Attunes once accepted by the inner spirit of the blade.)

This sword is sentient with the spirit of small mysterious child hiding within a world of thick purple mist. The child has golden skin, white eyes, and a short blue mohawk with butterfly wings protruding from a long robe covering its hands and feet. The child seems to levitate and hides from you in the mist. To attune to this weapon you must spend one long rest in meditation, entering the inner domain of the sword to speak with the spirit. Once there, you must roll an investigation or perception check to find the spirit in the mist, then a persuasion check to convince the spirit you are worthy of wielding it. If you fail this 3 times you must wait a week before trying again, as the spirit blocks you from speaking to it.

Shaped as a deformed trident with curved, serpentine blades, the middle blade is straighter and longer than the side blades, all ascending from the guard, which is shaped like a baby's head with hands clasped in prayer. This is all mounted on his sword's normal hilt, which resembles a golden leaf. The baby's mouth secretes a poisonous vapor in this form at various intervals.

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Jealous Partner. You cannot attune to any other weapons while attuned to this sword. While attuned the wielder has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.

Numbing Agent. This weapon secretes a neurotoxin that numbs on contact. Creatures hit by this weapon must roll a DC 17 Con Save or become Slowed until the end of their next turn.

Slowing Agent. Once per short rest as an action the mouth on the baby face opens, exhaling a cloud of purple mist over a 25ft radius centered on the wielder. The mouth remains open for one minute, releasing the gas the entire time. Creatures that enter or start their turn in the fog must roll a DC 17 Con Save or become poisoned. The poison causes the infected to take 2d6 poison damage after each action, reaction, and bonus action they take. The targets can reroll the save at the start of their next turn.

Paralyzing Agent. Once per long rest as an action you can force the baby to scream, releasing a wail that reverberates up to 100ft away. Creatures that hear the cry must roll a DC 17 Con Save or become stunned until the start of their next turn.

Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo. Once per long rest you can call upon the true form of the spirit inside the sword to summon Konjiiki Ashizoji Jizo. Once this is complete you cannot do so again for 3 long rests. The baby's head on the guard opens its mouth as it produces a giant creature with the body of a caterpillar in a red cape, with a grotesque golden baby's head and arms, and a silver halo hovering around its head. The creature takes it's turn on your initiative and responds to your vocal commands.

Cursed Womb of Divine Reincarnation. You can only do this by allowing the summoned Jizo to eat you, willingly sacrificing yourself to fuse with the spirit. This turns the golden caterpillar into an enormous, heavyset, purple-skinned baby dressed in a golden loincloth and with golden fabric covering its pectorals. It has a misshapen head with completely white eyes, and its belly has a large vertical incision line in the center, on either side of which are the two parts forming the kanji for "Prostrate/Bend Down" (伏). The baby rests on a large pile of thick, visibly veined umbilical cords from which two branches grow on either side of the baby's head, each holding up a dangling, box-shaped lantern. In addition, a purple mist seeps along the ground that resembles the poison released by the previous form. Each lantern opens its door and activates a random effect from the list below:

  1. All enemy creatures that can see this Jizo suffer from Power Word Stun and skip the initial DC 18 Wisdom save.
  2. All enemy creatures that can see this Jizo roll a DC 19 Constitution save or become deaf and blinded for 24 hours.
  3. All enemy creatures that can see this Jizo roll a DC 19 Constitution save or suffer from 4 levels of exhaustion. On a successful save, suffer from 2 levels regardless.
  4. The Jizo casts a 9th level Mass Heal evenly distributed between those it chooses.

Roll 2d4 to generate one effect for each lantern. No two effects can be rolled twice. Enemies that can read the kanji and prostrate themselves to the Jizo have advantage on these saving throws. Those who do not, roll with disadvantage. Upon completion the baby bursts in a cloud of purple smoke, leaving behind a fleshy golden cocoon with purple veins. You are reborn from the cocoon after one week.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
