The longsword is a work of art, with veins of glowing amethyst crystals embedded along its length. These crystals pulse in tandem with the wielder’s heartbeat, casting a faint violet glow over the smooth surface of the blade. The edge is impossibly sharp, while the rest of the sword is a beautiful fusion of metal and gemstone. Holding it, one feels the latent energy thrumming through the circuits, eager to be unleashed in a devastating strike. It was once a prized weapon of Aeor’s knightly order, used to cut through both magic and steel with equal precision.
- Circuit Surge (2/day, Overcharge 1/day): When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can activate the amethyst circuits along the blade. The target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the start of your next turn. Additionally, the blade deals an extra 2d6 lightning damage. You can choose to overcharge the surge once per day, adding an extra 4d6 lightning damage, but you must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 lightning damage yourself.
- Energy Shield (Bonus Action): You can use a bonus action to surround yourself with a shimmering energy shield. You gain temporary hit points equal to your level. This effect lasts for 1 minute and can be used once per long rest.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
