Armor (studded leather), artifact (requires attunement by a by a druid or ranger)

While wearing the Aegis of the Wildspeaker you gain a +2 to your AC. When you complete a long rest choose acid, fire, cold, lightning, or necrotic damage. You gain resistance to this type of damage until you complete your next long rest. Once per long rest you can roll a d8 and regain that many levels worth of spell slots (For example, if you were to roll a 6 you could regain two 3rd level slots or perhaps one 2nd level and one 4th level). The regaining of spell slots requires the time of a short rest to complete. During this time you must focus on communing with natural elements around you to gain energy from them. When you are struck by a melee attack you may use your reaction to deal 1d12 piercing damage to the attacker as brambles spring forward towards them. Once per long rest you can cause a tangled mass of vines to spring out of the ground in a 30 ft radius circle centered on you. All hostile creatures in the area must succeed a DC 18 Strength saving throw or become restrained and take 5d12 bludgeoning damage. A creature trapped by the vines takes the damage again at the start of their turn. They can use their action to attempt the saving throw again.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.

Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, by a druid or ranger
