The Arm of the Mechanist is an intricately designed mechanical arm forged from a blend of brass and steel. Its surface is embellished with supports and cogs as a gentle yellow glow hums from beneath its surface, shining through the cracks. The prosthetic can magically take the place of a person's arm without replacing it permanently as a part of the attunement process. Due to being a prosthetic, clothes can be worn over it, but not armor.
While attuned to the prosthetic, the wearer has a +1 bonus to Athletics checks involving their hands. This prosthetic has 5 charges, regaining all expended charges during a Long Rest, or 1 charge if you take at least 10 Lightning damage in a single instance.
Ingenious Mechanism. As a bonus action, you may expend 1 charge to add an additional die roll to your next melee weapon attack. The die type is determined by the weapon used. This ability can be used up to 3 times.
Ripwire. As a bonus action, you may expend 1 charge to send out a grapple wire that is able to grab onto surfaces or creatures up to a range of 30 feet. If you target a creature with this ability, it is considered a ranged weapon attack, though it does no damage. On a hit, you may force the creature to make a contested Strength (Athletics) check, being pulled up to 5 feet of yourself. If the creature is Huge or larger, it is unaffected by this feature.
