This bow has a rusted, dark metal frame with a layer of chipped gold still clinging to it. It feels unnaturally heavy and hot to the touch. You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Attunement. The first time you touch this weapon, you must succeed on a DC 30 Charisma saving throw. If your alignemt is good, you have disadvantage on this saving throw, and you advantage on it if your alignemnt is evil. On a success, your maximum attunement slots increases by 1 and you immediately attune to the bow. On a failure, you are affected by the feeblemind spell and you can never attempt to attune to the bow again. Once you are attuned to the bow, you can't willingly break attunement.
Tormented Arrows. The bow magically generates arrows made of a dark energy if no ammunition is provided. These special arrows deal an extra 3d10 necrotic damage and a creature that takes this damage must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by the necrotic damage taken. This damage ignores resistance to necrotic damage, and the creature dies if its hit point maximum is reduced to 0. This reduction lasts until the creature completes a long rest.
Wail of the Lost. When you shoot a tormented arrow, you can choose to increase the number of additional damage dice in increments of 3 (max 30d10). When you do so, roll a d20. On a roll of 10 or lower, the bow is destroyed. For every 3 additional damage dice, the DC increases by 1 (max 20).
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
