Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement)
Description. A small disc-shaped rune, made from a perfectly polished sheet of clear quartz. Brass spirals coil around the outer edges with intricate hand-carved sigils that shimmer faintly under any light source. Encased within the center of the quartz is a translucent gemstone that pulses periodically, glowing faintly. Strange geometric symbols decorate the gemstone, constantly shifting as if rearranging in random patterns. The surface of the rune is unnaturally smooth to the touch, cooler than its surroundings, with a faint hum emanating from it when held tightly. There is no apparent sign of wear despite its ancient make, and the brass coating retains a mirror-finish sheen, resistant to time and wear. The aflite gemstones shift and alter color depending on exposure to arcane energy, revealing hidden essences intertwined within. The overall structure suggests it was forged in a forgotten era, one when metallurgy and gem crafting techniques exceeded current knowledge, yet the specific methods remain unfathomable.
Usage. Once per round, when held firmly in hand, it allows the user to regenerate 1d4 hit points at the start of their turn through its long-held arcane energies. This effect does not require concentration and occurs passively. The user cannot drop below 1 hit point while under this rune's direct influence, though this passive effect can only act once per long rest to prevent death. This rune becomes less effective if used successively within the same day. When consumed too frequently, the regeneration grants only 1 hit point per turn, requiring a full rest period for its power to reset back to 1d4 regeneration.
Material Composition. Quartz crystal encased in engraved brass with aflite gemstone inlays
