Staff (quarterstaff), artifact (requires attunement)
Aeolus' Breath is a slender scepter adorned with intricate swirling designs that never seem to settle, as though the wind itself whispers through the etchings. The shaft, made of translucent, azure Sky Diamond, shimmers faintly under the sunlight, reflecting patterns of moving clouds across its surface. Thin, almost invisible Aetherium threads loop around the scepter, gently quivering with unseen force. At its apex, a fragment of crystallized wind captured in a slowly turning orb floats imperceptibly above the head of the staff, giving the entire item a weightless appearance. The scepter emits the soft sound of distant thunder when held, and gusts of gentle breeze seem to follow the wielder wherever they go.

UsageOnce per day, the user may expend 2 charges to summon a howling gale that creates a 40-foot cone of destructive wind. Creatures within the cone must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be knocked back 20 feet and take 6d12 bludgeoning damage. Additionally, the wielder may use 1 charge to grant themselves a flying speed of 60 feet for 1 hour. Using 3 charges, the scepter can summon a wind barrier, increasing AC by +5 for 10 minutes. If all charges are expended, the scepter cannot be used to summon winds until the next dawn.

LoreAeolus' Breath was said to be crafted in the towering sanctum of Skye, the Giant Goddess of the Sky, far above the earthly reach of mortals. Legends tell of a pact made between the Goddess and Aeolus, an ancient wind spirit who governed the gales and tempests of the heavens. Crafted from the winds themselves and bound with fragments of Aetherium, this item was to be wielded only by those anointed by the Giant of the Skies. The Aeolus' Breath was carried into countless celestial battles, directing storms and protecting Skye's chosen champions in ages long forgotten. It is said only one mortal being per era may wield this artifact, lest the balance of winds be shattered forever.
