History
Anaklusmos or Riptide is a special blade forged in the fires of mount etna and cooled in the river of lethe. riptide was used by hercules in the percy jackson series given bye zoe to slay ladon. riptide takes its power from the ocean which allows it to work for ocean spirits and children of poseidon.
in the series riptide is used by percy as his main wepon of choice which he gets from chiron at yancy academy to fight the fury or his math teacher.
Appearance
when you first get this wepon it is in the shape of a regular ball point pen that has the words anaklusmos but when uncapped it transforms and shows the true form a 3 foot long sword. it appears as a bronze sword with a double-edged blade, a leather wrapped grip and a flat hilt riveted with gold studs.
Use
if you have proficiency with a shortsword allows you to add the proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack made with this sword. Graze- if your attack roll witht his weapon misses a creature you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. this damage is the same type dealt by weapon and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modiferer .
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: you must attune for 1 hour and once you attune any time riptide is lost it will return in a bag or pocket or if you want your hands as a pen it also makes itself perfect for you and only you., Finesse, Light, Vex
