Armor (plate), artifact (requires attunement by a blessing of Sola, God of The Sun)

The armor is made of rare brimstone forged mithral giving it a shimmering sanguine red appearance intermixed with pale greys. It constantly seems to shift like flowing lava and light smoke is often seen emanating from the interlocking pieces of plate. As a result of attuning this item, you gain the following benefits.

  1.  Smoky Visage: The smoke emanating from your body partially obscures you providing you increased cover in melee combat. As a result, you gain +2 on all stealth checks while you are wearing this armor.
  2. Burning Eminence: The armor embodies and then channels the powers of the sun into a fiery aura. Therefore, when enemies end their turn within 5ft of you they suffer 1d6 fire damage.
  3. Unleash The Sun: As an action, you can bring down the fury of the heavens on your foes. Lava and flames will rain from the very sky at your call and ensnare your enemies in a sweltering storm. Once you use this ability it can not be used again for seven days. Fire Storm
  4. Shield of the Flame: As part of your gift from Sola, you become resistant to fire damage.
  5. Eternal Ash: As an action, you unleash a plume of ash on an area of your choice, creating a 20ft radius sphere of sulfurous ash. It lasts up to 10 minutes or until dispersed by a heavy wind. While inside the ash a creature must make a DC 15 CON Save or take 5d8 damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Creatures are affected even if they hold their breath or don't need to breathe. The ash moves 10 feet away from you at the start of each of your turns, rolling along the surface of the ground. The vapors, being heavier than air, sink to the lowest level of the land, even pouring down openings. This effect can be used once per day. You can maintain concentration on this spell using the armor and maintain your own concentration spell. This ability recharges once per long rest. Cloudkill

Mithral is a light, flexible metal. If the armor normally imposes disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks or has a Strength requirement, the mithral version of the armor doesn't.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
