Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement)

This sword’s greatest strength is not its speed, weight, or sharpness. It is the ability to know the enemy.

Whenever you hit a creature with this sword for the first time, the blade adapts to deal the most damage possible to the enemy. All subsequent attacks deal an extra 1d10 slashing damage, and ignore damage resistances and immunities. Alternatively, if the creature has any damage vulnerabilities, it instead does 1d10 of that damage type. This effect ends if you hit a different creature with this weapon.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: Damage: Slashing, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
