Description. At first glance, the amulet seems wrought from ancient stone, but upon closer inspection, its surface glistens with a greenish hue, as though it was crafted from jade melted in dragonfire. Small bones of a long-forgotten dragon, encrusted with glowing verdant moss, wrap around the circular frame in a dragon-like pattern. The verdant gem at its center hums faintly, often casting splashes of sickly green light onto the wearer’s chest, and radiates a faint scent of moss and sulfur. When held up to light, faint, flickering images of winged beasts emerge within the gem’s heart, hinting at its mysterious origin.
Usage. Once per day, as a bonus action, the wearer can summon forth the Draconic Verdant Spirit within a 30-foot radius. The summoned spirit is a spectral black dragon that releases a corrosive acid breath in a 20-foot cone. All creatures in the cone must make a DC (8+ proficiancy bonus+ your wisdom modifier) Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 acid damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. The spirit vanishes after the attack. The spirit has no physical form and cannot be attacked or interacted with.
Lore. This amulet was forged by a cult worshipping Verdantix, an ancient green dragon whose acidic breath could dissolve entire battalions. Forgotten by time and lost in the sacking of their great temple, the amulet’s creation was said to capture Verdantix's final moments before his destruction, crystallizing a fraction of his soul within the gem. The cult believed wearing the amulet granted its bearer the wisdom of the dragons, though the true power lies in the draconic spirit bound to the wearer’s will.
