While holding this shield, whenever a critical hit is landed on the wearer, the damage of the hit is halved.

By also using a bonus action you can thrust your shield forward to use a Shield Blow, by making a succeful shove attack against them, You make a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target’s Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use). If you win the contest, you either knock the target prone or push it 5 feet away from you.

 When a foe hits you with a melee attack, you can also use your reaction, to knock it Prone unless they succeed a Dexterity saving throw against your passive stength score which is 8 + your proficiency + your str modifier.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
