Long ago, a demonic parasite was driven into a cursed blade, never to be released and bound by universal law to consume the souls of those the blade cut down. Since that time, the sword known as Akujiki has been eternally hungry for souls, a hunger that is destined to never be satiated.
Many have wielded Akujiki, gaining great strength from using the blade. But even if they resist its murderous influence, Akujiki demands payment anyway. A wielder who does not sate the bloodlust of the sword has their own soul slowly devoured. Many have resisted the urge, but sooner or later, all wielders have succumbed to the hunger of souls.
This magic weapon grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
When you slay a creature while wielding this weapon, you heal a number of hit points equal to the damage of the killing blow. If you are at full hit points, any remaining damage is turned into temporary hit points. Creatures slain by this weapon cannot be resurrected by any means, as Akujiki has devoured their very essence.
If you have not slain any creature after 2 rounds of slaying at least one creature, the sword will turn on you. You will lose 1d12 hit points every round until you slay a creature again. This lose of hit points cannot be resisted or stopped in anyway, and bypasses any temporary hit points you have.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, level 20 player, Healing, Damage, Combat, Cursed, Versatile, Sap
