Weapon (spear), uncommon
This strange weapon is fashioned from a giant, magically enhanced asparagus stalk.
- Targeted Roots Ability: When you make a successful hit with the spear, you can use a charge to channel its energy, causing the roots of the asparagus to surge deep into the ground. The target must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they are rooted in place for 1d4 rounds as the magic causes vines to sprout and entangle them, giving them disadvantage on their next attack rolls.
- Area Roots Ability: You can use a charge to make thorny roots grow out the ground in a 20ft radius from a point you can see, every creature of your choice on the radius has to make DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d8 piercing damage
- Asparagusic Acid Ability: Upon a critical hit, you deal and additional 1d6 acid damage.
- Bonus: The wielder gains advantage on checks related to nature and farming, as the spear’s magic enhances their ability to cultivate and grow vegetables. Additionally, when the spear is planted in the ground for at least an hour, it can sprout a small patch of asparagus, which can be harvested after 24 hours. Also the asparagusic acid lets you cast acid splash, and acid arrow without material components
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
