This chain of black iron ends in a spiked shackle twisted into a ball. Scratched onto the chain links in Abyssal is a poem about bitterly longing for freedom.
You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Once per dawn, when you hit a creature with an attack using the flail, you can cause the shackle to unravel and clasp around the target's throat if it's Large or smaller. The target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the shackle locks onto them and the flail loses all of its properties, becoming a featureless magic weapon. While the shackle is locked on the target, the target can't speak and its speed is halved.
At the end of each of the target's turns, it can make a DC 15 Strength or Dexterity saving throw (its choice). On a successful save, it escapes from the shackle, and the shackle returns to the chain, restoring its properties. The shackle breaks off on its own after 1 hour.
Proficiency with a Flail allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Sap
