Armor (plate), uncommon (requires attunement by a Paladin)
- Magic Resistance: While wearing the armor, the wearer has advantage on saving throws against spells.
- Unyielding Vigilance: The wearer can activate a reaction to reduce any critical hit made against them to a normal hit, but doing so reopens the old wounds, dealing 1d6 necrotic damage to the wearer.
- Aura of Protection: Once per long rest, the wearer can use their action to activate an aura that extends 15 feet around them for 1 minute. Allies within the aura gain +2 AC and have advantage on Constitution saving throws. However, this aura drains the wearer’s vitality, dealing 2d6 necrotic damage to them at the end of the duration.
- Burden of the Fallen: Each time the wearer fails to protect an ally (such as when an ally within 15 feet drops to 0 hit points), they gain a Burden Token. For each token, the armor grows heavier, reducing movement speed by 5 feet per token. However, for each token the wearer holds, they gain an additional +1 AC. All Burden Tokens are removed after a long rest.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
Notes: Paladin, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
