Weapon (rapier), legendary (requires attunement)

Blessed by the King of the Mountains, Pheserion himself, this cutlass forged from a strange grey and red metal, is a masterpiece compared to others of it's kind.

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This weapon deals slashing damage.

Chilling Rend: When you hit a creature with Crimson Reaver, it deals an additional 2d4 cold damage.

Bloodsteel Weapon:  Weapons forged with Bloodsteel carry a curse and cause weakness in those they strike. When you hit a creature with this weapon, they suffer from the Bloodbane Curse. The cursed target has disadvantage on their next attack roll or saving throw, made before the end of their next turn.

Crimson Arc: The cutlass has 3 charges. As an action, you can expend 1 charge to make a melee attack against a creature. When you do, a wave of cold red energy surges through the target, extending in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide from you. Each creature in the line must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw.

  • On a failed save, a creature takes 6d6 cold damage and its movement speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
  • On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and suffers no additional effects.

The cutlass regains all expended charges daily at dawn.

Tongue of the Forge: While attuned to Crimson Reaver, you can speak, read, and understand Dwarvish.

Waterborne: This cutlass bears a rune of water. While not carried, it floats on the surface of water and other liquids. When wielding the cutlass, you have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to swim.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Replace Damage Type: Slashing, Bonus: Magic, Language: Dwarvish, Advantage: Athletics, Finesse, Vex
