Action + Bonus Action + Spell Slot
This necklace is adorned with the shimmering carapace of a Crackle beetle soldier, offering lightning resistance to its wearer. In the center of the necklace is a vibrant Amphibolt's lightning crystal that crackles with power, fueling the necklace's unique ability. The pendant itself is a Faux Garou's necklace, its mystical symbols glowing softly in the presence of magic.
By uttering the word "Vol'tha'Kraz", a crackling bolt of lightning envelops them and they disappear in a flash, only to reappear 30 ft. long by 5 ft. wide in a line in front of them. Creatures in the path must make a DC (8 + Proficiency Modifier + Spell-casting Modifier) Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage and 1d6 lightning damage plus your Spell-casting Modifier, and is knocked prone. On a success, a creature takes half the damage and isn’t knocked prone. Using a higher level spell increases the lightning by 1d6 capping at a max of 3d6 total lightning, bludgeoning stays the same.
The protective properties of the Crackle beetle carapace grant the wearer resistance to lightning damage while the ability has a charge. However, after using the ability, the lightning resistance fades away until the necklace has had time to recharge.
If the wearer takes lightning damage after expending the necklace's charge, they can harness the residual energy to activate the ability once more by expending a spell slot of at least 1st level. The second use of the ability deals 1d4 bludgeoning damage and 1d4 lightning damage to creatures or objects passed through during the Thunder stride at half the distance and does not require a dexterity saving throw. After using it the second time, the harness can no longer re-harness the residual energy from the attack until after its next full charge, the wearer also becomes lethargic from repeated uses.
The necklace regains its charges at dawn, once the wearer has had a chance to rest and recover their energy.
