Once you equip this suit of armor, you gain an additional +5 bonus to your armor class.  This armor also resists 10 points of damage from any weapon or source - armed or unarmed.  Furthermore you are also immune to critical hits and from falling prone while wearing this suit of armor.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
