Posted May 21, 2025If this item is equipped on your character it actually does increase your darkvision by 1 foot. (It took me forever to figure out why my 2024 version of my 2014 character gained a foot of darkvision but I eventually traced it back here.)

Posted Nov 20, 2025No; the "minute" part of the name suggests this is for very small things. It's like a magnifying glass or microscope for your eyes, and (for some reason) it can pierce Darkness.

Posted Jan 13, 2026The addition of darkvision within that single foot of distance is an improvement over the old version, which only gave the aforementioned advantage on investigation checks within that foot of space.
