The thick, grooved blade of this Great Sword wrought in Damascus patterning is lined with etched runes that hum on one side celestial and on the other infernal. It is also known as—Angel's Fall and was thought to have been destroyed or lost after the Calamity.
Dormant
While in a dormant state, Angel's Fall has the following traits,
- you gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with the weapon, and you have resistance to radiant damage.
- You can cast the Cure Wounds spell from the weapon as an action, requiring no components at the second level. Once a spell has been cast using Angel's Fall, that spell can’t be cast from the sword until the next dawn.
Awakened
When Angel's Fall reaches an awakened state, you gain the following benefits:
- The weapon’s bonus to attack and damage rolls increase to +2. and you have resistance to fire damage
- The weapon Deals 1d6 Fire damage And 1d6 Radiant Damage on a hit
- You can cast the Branding Smite spell from the sword as an action, and the save DC for spells cast using the sword increases to 15. Additionally, Cure wounds is cast at the 3rd level
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
