The armour is a set of Half Plate with an intricate set of quick release latches that allows for the heavy plates to be quickly discarded and granting the ability to fly while sacrificing protection.
When fully assembled, the armour counts as Half Plate. The wearer can use a Magic Action to release the heavy plates protecting their body and downgrade their armour to Leather Armour. Reassembling the armour to Half Plate takes 5 minutes to don the armour as normal.
*This armour can only be equipped by a character that has a wing based flight speed (Owlin, Arakocra, Aasimar, Fairy, etc)
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
