Armor (studded leather), rare

Description:
This finely crafted armor is made from the enchanted bark, vines, and flowers of the Elderbloom Tree. The wood is supple yet strong, reinforced with small, gleaming studs made of natural Feywild gemstones. Flowers grow along the seams and vines weave through the armor, giving it an ethereal appearance that seems to shimmer in sunlight. As you wear the armor, the vines and flowers adjust to your form, offering protection while still allowing you to move with ease.

Special Features:

  1. Elderbloom's Protection:
The Armor of the Elderbloom Tree grants you resistance to poison damage, as the magical essence of the tree fortifies your body against toxins.
  2. Living Vines:
The vines within the armor can animate once per short or long rest, wrapping around your body and shielding you from harm. As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can add +3 to your AC for that attack, potentially causing the attack to miss.
  3. Verdant Step:
While wearing the armor, you can walk through natural difficult terrain (such as heavy foliage, underbrush, or vines) without expending extra movement. Additionally, you have advantage on Stealth checks made to hide in natural environments such as forests, jungles, or grasslands.
  4. Barkskin Growth:
Once per long rest, as an action, you can cause your armor to grow thicker and tougher, resembling the bark of the Elderbloom Tree. For 1 minute, your AC becomes 16, regardless of Dexterity modifier, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your level. The bark will crack and fall off at the end of the duration.
  5. Healing Bloom:
The flowers that grow along the armor can heal with their restorative magic. Once per day, you can use an action to summon a small flower on your armor that can be plucked and consumed. The flower provides 2d4 + 2 hit points when eaten, restoring vitality and closing small wounds.

Sentience:
The Armor of the Elderbloom Tree is infused with the spirit of the tree, granting it a subtle awareness of its surroundings. While wearing it, you can feel a sense of calm in natural environments, and the armor can warn you of impending danger by tightening slightly against your skin, giving you a brief moment to prepare.

Regrowth:
If the armor is damaged, it naturally regenerates over time, repairing itself at dawn. If completely destroyed, planting a piece of it near an Elderbloom Tree will cause the armor to regrow fully after 3 days.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
