This ancient, blackened dagger is etched with spectral runes that shimmer faintly in dim light. Once wielded by Alaric’s most trusted enforcer, it holds a chilling connection to the spirit realm, allowing the wielder to deal devastating, shadow-infused strikes.
Properties:
Spectral Strike: When you attack with this dagger and hit, the target takes an additional 1d6 necrotic damage as a shadowy aura trails from the wound.
Specter’s Step: Once per short rest, you can activate the dagger to cast Misty Step, allowing you to teleport up to 30 feet as shadows consume your form. When you reappear, you gain advantage on your next attack.
Dreadful Visage: As an action, you can brandish the dagger and channel its dark aura to evoke fear. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet that can see you must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for 1 minute. Frightened creatures can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns to end the effect. This feature recharges on a long rest.
Attunement Effect:
While attuned, you gain resistance to necrotic damage, and your own shadow seems to flicker unnaturally, adding to your ominous presence.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
