It is not unexpected to think one has encountered a waddle of ducks, or perhaps a group of poorly trained trumpet players, when first stumbling upon an area containing a cluster of Anas Fungorum. The Scholasticus Fungus Compendium makes note that these mushrooms are more of a nuisance than anything else. However, if a creature is unfortunate enough to step into the same space as a cluster of Anas Fungorum, they must successfully make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or else become Deafened for up to 1 minute. At the end of each of that creature’s turns, it may remake that saving throw in order to remove that condition early. Additionally, it is recorded that some curious individuals have discovered that if you throw one of these mushrooms at target, the thrown Anas Fungorum sudden duplicates, filling a 5 ft space.
