Armor (shield), very rare

This buckler comfortably lashes to the forearm, providing protection and does not impede bow, two-handed weapons, or spell casting. In fact, this buckler has a void in its center that allows a spell caster to take an object of arcane focus and set it into the buckler. A simple enchantment and the buckler will combine with the object to allow it, the buckler, to serve as an item of arcane focus.

Additionally, once per day, the buckler can be used to cast "absorb elements". The spell captures some of the incoming energy, lessening its effect on you and storing it for your next melee, ranged, or spell attack. You have resistance to the triggering damage type until the start of your next turn. Also, the first time you hit with an attack on your next turn, the target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the triggering type, and the spell ends. The absorbed energy dissipates at the end of your next turn.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
