Weapon (greatsword), artifact (requires attunement by a Paladin)

Found locked away in the ruins of a Dwarven Armoury, this mighty weapon gives off an aura of faint radiance. While on the surface this weapon looks old, it still feels sturdy and seems like it could be a formidable weapon in worthy hands. Gold embellishments surround the pommel and guard of the weapon, snaking up the centre of the blade up to an inch from the tip, and when picked up this gold seems to almost glow.

Base statistics: 1d12 slashing damage + attuned wielders strength and proficiency bonus. All attacks count as magical attacks in relation to creatures resistances.

Heavenly Edge

When attuned the blade begins to glow in a silvery blue light along the edge; the wielder gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls made with this magic weapon, +1 per every two character levels above 1st. When you hit a fiend or an undead with it, that creature takes an extra 1d6 radiant damage (damage stacks with other modifiers against fiends or undead).

Angel's Guard

When Avrali awakens, while you hold the sword, it creates an aura in a 10-foot radius around you. You and all characters/creatures friendly to you within the aura have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. If you have 10 or more levels in the paladin class, the radius of the aura increases to 20 feet.

Avrali's Word

Once Avrali has awakened and reached it's full potential, it's trim glows brightly around the hand of the attuned wielder. Such wielder can choose to discharge the power within Avrali thrice per long rest in the form of a powerful ranged attack. This ranged attack deals 1d6 force damage with an additional 2d4 radiant damage which affects creatures within 5ft of the target. Additionally, if the wielder has any points of corruption, this corruption is expelled through this attack in the form of 1d4 necrotic damage which replaces the radiant damage normally dealt.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
