Weapon (sling), very rare (requires attunement by a Enduring a hour of ethereal pain as the barrier of the realm collide onto your wrist. Every 10 min the PC must succeed a DC 14 Con save, failure results in 2D6 piercing damage and 1D6 force damage. If the PC can endure the hour attunement the Vambrace will attach itself firmly to the wrist.)

A striking vambrace that wraps snugly around the wrist, seemingly woven from the night sky itself. Each obsidian scale glints faintly, obscured by loops of sparkling starlight threads. The inside is lined with a smooth, shadow-fabric, humming softly against the skin like a gentle current. Attached to its core, a small gem, reminiscent of a captured star, pulsates faintly, suggesting immense power contained within. Whispers of an ethereal breeze can be felt near the vambrace, as though the barrier between this realm and the next grows thin. Shaped from a combination of eldritch alloy and ethereal silk, it exhibits a lustrous sheen that shifts between deep azure and starlit silver, depending on the angle of sight. The vambrace is designed to snugly fit the forearm, adorned with swirling etchings that seem to pulse gently, echoing the silent whisper of untold reaches. On its side, a complex mechanism holds an eagle's talon, coiled with ethereal strands that glisten like gossamer in moonlight. This piece of exquisite craftsmanship stands as both a marvel of design and a masterful blend of art and utility.

This Gauntlet has an eagle talon fixed to the inside of the wrist with a thin ethereal chord wrapped tightly around an internal spool. This item is activated by adding pressure to the palm of the hand that extends the eagle talon out rapidly at a maximum distance of 30 ft. The line has a strength of 300 lbs, the chord is not of this plane and cannot be attacked.

As a Tool

As a bonus action, you may use this to either pull yourself toward a stationary object that can support your weight or pull that object toward yourself. Roll an attack roll against a DC 15, anything over the DC succeeds and firmly attaches the eagle talon to the object. If you move yourself toward an object it will not cost your movement speed and does not create opportunity attacks. You can move yourself 30 ft or try to pull an object toward you 15 ft. If you are using it to aid in scaling walls, suspending yourself in air, or moving across vertical terrain you gain an advantage on your acrobatics checks.

Failure by 3 or less indicates that the hook fails to catch and falls, allowing you to try again.

Failure by 5 or more indicates that the grappling hook initially holds, but comes loose causing a failure that might result in damage to the tool.

This check is made secretly by the DM so that you don’t know whether the rope will hold your weight.

As a Weapon

Make a ranged attack with this weapon. BEATING an enemy's AC will plunge the eagle talon deep into the flesh of the creature causing 2D6 of piercing damage. Enemies must then make a DC14 Str save to prevent the hooks from taking hold of them. Failure means the creature is grappled and cannot move further away from the gauntlet as they are tethered to it. As an action, you can attempt to pull the creature toward you by 15 ft. This will be a contested Str check.

Defense

As a reaction, you can use a charge of this object to parry a melee attack, adding +2 to your AC for one attack, potentially turning a hit into a miss.

Proficiency with a Sling allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
