Weapon (battleaxe), varies (requires attunement by a spellcaster )

  • Attack and Damage Bonus: +1, +2, or +3 (determined by the weapon’s rarity).

  • Arcane Channeling: You can use this weapon as a spellcasting focus. When casting a spell through this weapon, add the weapon’s bonus (+1, +2, or +3) to your spell attack rolls and spell save DCs.

  • Arcane Pulse: When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you unleash a wave of arcane energy. All creatures of your choice within 10 feet take 2d8 force damage and must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be pushed 10 feet away.

  • Empowered Smite: When you use a Smite spell (e.g., Banishing Smite, Staggering Smite) with this weapon, the Smite deals an additional 2d8 damage of the same type as the Smite. Additionally, upon dealing Smite damage, you can choose to grant yourself temporary hit points equal to the total damage dealt by the Smite. These temporary hit points last for 4 turns, or until depleted.

While you have these temporary hit points, any creature that hits you with a melee attack takes damage equal to the maximum value of the temporary hit points at that time. This feature can be used once per short rest.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
