Ascended Absorption Shard

This translucent crystal simmers with ancient and ravenous magic, now enhanced by an all-consuming flame. When used, it fills the inside of your mouth with scalding heat.

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points while you hold or wear the shard, you can choose to regain either 10 hit points or a first-level spell slot. This property of the shard can be used three times each long rest.
