You have a +2 bonus to AC and resistance to lightning damage. While wearing this armor, you gain the ability to breathe underwater and have advantage on saving throws against being grappled or restrained by aquatic creatures.
Fear of the Abyss: Crabs and crab-like creatures within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. Creatures of size Large or smaller make this save at disadvantage. A frightened creature repeats the saving throw at the end of its turn, ending the effect on a success.
Ink Cloud (Recharge 6): While underwater, as an action, you can expel an abyssal ink cloud in a 30-foot radius. The cloud spreads around corners and heavily obscures the area for 1 minute or until dispersed by a strong current. Creatures other than you that end their turn in the cloud must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 3d10 poison damage on a failed save or half as much on a success.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
