This ornate, golden shield seems to hum faintly with timeless energy. Intricate etchings of ancient, shifting runes cover its surface, glowing faintly as though imbued with the essence of time itself. It is said to be a relic forged by an eternal guardian to defend against the unstoppable forces of entropy.
Properties:
- Temporal Shielding: While attuned to the Aegis of Eternity, you can a +3 bonus to AC and all Saving Throws. Additionally, when a creature within 10 ft of you is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll.
- Momentary Stasis: As an action, you can freeze time for a single creature you can see within 60 feet. The creature must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. While paralyzed, the creature is immune to all damage but is completely immobilized in space and time. The effect ends early if the creature takes damage. You can use this feature twice per long rest.
- Chrono Reversal (Recharge 5-6): As an action, you can rewind the immediate area. Each creature of your choice within a 30-foot radius is returned to the position, hit points, and condition they had at the start of the last round. This ability does not restore expended resources or spells.
- Timeless Aegis(1/Day): As a reaction when you or an ally within 30 ft is reduced to 0 hit points, you can activate the Aegis of Eternity. The target is instead restored to full hit points, and time freezes briefly around them, granting them immunity to all damage until the end of their next turn.
Curse: Each time you use Chrono Reversal or Timeless Aegis, roll a d20. On the roll of 1, the Aegis draws too heavily on the fabric of time. You take 30d12 force damage, and the shield loses it's abilities until the next dawn.
FROM THE MIND OF ALEC LACHMAN
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
