Forged by the Elves of Eregion, Narsil was the sword of the King of Men, Elendil. It shattered in the great battle against Sauron, symbolizing the downfall of the kings. The shards remain a powerful symbol of hope and leadership for the Free Peoples of Middle-earth. It is said that the blade holds the light of the stars and can strike fear into the hearts of the wicked. Narsil remained broken for centuries until it was reforged into Andúril, "Flame of the West."
