Creators Proficiency - You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Arcane Bullet Inscription - This large barreled single shot arcane pistol can be loaded with artificer made bullets. The process of creating these bullets is similar to the process of making scrolls in cost and materials. The projectiles can be inscribed with these spells and on impact unleash the power of the spell as well as the damage from the ammunition itself. Arcane Bullets may only contain one spell or cantrip, any more and the magic may become unreliable and can have unpredictable effects.
Rolling a one - the Arcane Hand Cannon will backfire unleashing the spell damage onto the user and jamming the weapon. If you roll a one you must flip a coin; if tails the weapon explodes doing an additional 4d6 damage, If Heads you may do a tinkering or slight of hand check of DC14 (as an action) to fix the weapon.
Arcane Aim - Bullets shot from this weapon can hit a target from 40ft/120ft away with an attack roll DC minus 1 for every 10ft past 120ft the target is from the user. If the target is under 40 feet from the user, the user has disadvantage.
Proficiency with a Revolver allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
