Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a After the armor is worn for a cumulative 24 hours, the wearer will become attuned to it.)

What at first appears to be a large minotaur skeleton is in fact a powerful magical set of armor.  Upon close inspection, the skeleton is missing it's lower jaw and a few other bones.  The skeleton is often found standing on its own with is arms spread out to the side, as though ready fro an embrace.  The ribcage is also spread open.  If Detect Magic is cast on it, it will show a combination of Enchantment and Necromantic magic.  When someone approaches it, the skeleton will walk toward them and attempt to embrace them.  If the skeleton is allowed to do so, it will attach itself to them.  The skull will fit over their head, the arm bones will attach to their arms, the ribcage will wrap around their chest, and so on.  While attached, the bones provide a +2 AC bonus in addition to any other bonuses provided by the armor they are already wearing.

Attunement Power: Once attuned, the armor can be animated to move and act on its own.  When activated, it will detach itself from the wearer and assemble itself into the form of a minotaur skeleton.  As a bonus action, the person attuned to it can issue short commands (e.g., guard this chest, attack that goblin, etc.) and it will follow those commands to the best of its ability (at the DM's discretion) for up to 24 hours.  If no commands are given or it is not worn for 24 hours, the attunement will be lost and it will revert back to the position in which it was found.  If it is reduced to 0 HP, the skeleton will fall to the ground in a heap of bones.  After a long rest, the bones will regenerate, reassemble, stand up, and take the position it was found in.  If the skeleton is reduced to 0 HP by a spell which utterly destroys it (e.g., Disintegrate), it is irrevocably destroyed.  As long as 1 HP remains in the skeleton, it will confer the AC bonus to the wearer.  The only way for it to regenerate HP is for it to take a long rest.

When acting on its own, it has the same stats as a Minotaur Skeleton (see Monster Manual p. 273) with the following changes:

HP: 90, AC: 15; Languages: Understands the primary language of wearer but doesn't speak.  Instead of Great Axe attack, it uses Slam: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.  Hit: 2d6+4 damage

Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, After the armor is worn for a cumulative 24 hours, the wearer will become attuned to it.
