Armor (studded leather), legendary (requires attunement by a a Rogue, Monk, or Warlock)

The Armor of Shadows is a masterwork of stealth and subtlety, designed to enhance a rogue’s natural talents. This lightweight, shadow-infused leather armor is adorned with dark metallic studs that shimmer faintly like stars in a moonless sky. Its fabric is imbued with enchanted shadow magic, allowing the wearer to meld seamlessly into the darkness and evade detection with uncanny ease.

The armor was crafted long ago by an enigmatic guild of master thieves and assassins known as The Veilbound Order. Legends claim the guild harnessed the magic of the Shadowfell to create this armor for their elite operatives. Each piece was specifically tailored to heighten agility and amplify the wearer's ability to vanish into the night, making them nearly impossible to catch.

History

The Armor of Shadows is a relic from the shadowy history of The Veilbound Order, a guild of assassins and spies that operated across multiple planes of existence. The guild believed that the shadows were more than a tool—they were allies and protectors. To this end, they forged the Armor of Shadows with the help of powerful shadow mages and planar artisans who harnessed the essence of the Shadowfell.

It is said that no one wearing this armor has ever been caught, and some claim its wearers could even slip into the ethereal realm to avoid pursuit. Many thieves and rogues have sought this legendary armor, but its elusive nature mirrors the shadows it embodies—whispered about in taverns and coveted by those who operate in the night. To possess the Armor of Shadows is to hold the pinnacle of stealth, precision, and mastery over the art of disappearance.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
