The wand known as Aurora's Whispers is a slender instrument, measuring about twelve inches in length. Its shaft seems to be made of pure platinum, yet weighs as little as air when held. Threads of soft, glowing light—reminiscent of the shimmering hues seen in the northern skies—twist and wind around it in an erratic yet mesmerizing pattern. When closely inspected, the 'light' seems less like actual light and more akin to luminous threads weaving in and out of existence, each carrying faint whispers in an unknown celestial tongue. The wand is capped by a shimmering crystal embedded into the tip, which refracts the light into brilliant prismatic spectra. Tiny, rune-like etchings twinkle intermittently along the length of the wand, while the grip is wrapped in an almost incorporeal material, soft but impossible to pin down, seemingly phasing in and out between realms as the wielder moves. The air surrounding it feels lighter, as if it carries the weight of the heavens themselves.
UsageWhen activated, Aurora's Whispers emits a 30-foot radius aura of celestial energy. Allies in the area gain +1 to AC and a +2 bonus to saving throws for one minute. Additionally, at the time of activation, the user can choose one effect: grant allies temporary hit points equal to 10 + the user's spellcasting modifier, or give them resistance to radiant damage for 1 minute. Each enemy within the aura's range must also succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the start of their next turn. The wand expends 1 charge per activation, and all charges are recharged at dawn.
