Wondrous Item, legendary

A rare fruit hailing from an unknown location, eating it affects the consumer in unexpected ways. Many who come across this fruit are afflicted with unexpected travisties, however, some are gifted with boon-like effects that bolster a person’s abilities. Although nobody knows the true origin of the Aleatory Fruit, that fact is usually forgotten due to the Fruit’s ability to change lives. Roll a d20 after consuming the fruit to reveal the affect of the Fruit's mysterious power.

1: Permanent -2 to your class specific ability score (I.E Druid loses wisdom), your movement speed is halved for 1d4 days, you will be pooped on once a day by a bird at least once a day (regardless of location), and you roll on the Random Curses table

2-5: -2 to all class specific skill checks for 1d4+1 days and you develop rancid breath for the next 1d6 weeks; any creature that comes within 5 feet of you must succeed a DC 18 CON save or be knocked unconscious. Creatures that spend a lot of time around you can eventually become immune to the unconscious effects, however, they still experience the horrendous stench protruding from your mouth.

6-9: You can now only eat grass, nothing else provides you will any substantial sustenance and you suffer from double vision (and has disadvantage on all attack rolls and ability checks) for the next 1d4 days

10: The fruit bears no benefits or detriments, it merely tastes like a home cooked meal from the player’s past

11-15: You gain proficiency in 1d4-1 (minimum of 1) skills of your choice and +2 to class specific skill checks for the next 1d4+1 days

16-19: Gives you a permanent +1 to your class specific ability score and you gain proficiency in a saving throw that you do not have proficiency in yet.  

20: Gives you a permanent +2 to your class specific ability score, expertise in one skill of your choice and one saving throw of your choice, and you gain an extra +5 health per level
