This item first appears to be a golden snake with emerald eyes that wraps around your forearm. When activated as a bonus action, it uncoils and slithers into your hand in the form of a golden spear or dagger. The transformation lasts until you deactivate it as a bonus action. When you score a critical hit with this magic weapon, it unleashes a wave of screams that deals 4d8 necrotic damage to each creature of your choice within 15 feet of the target that can hear and isn't a construct or undead.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
