Armor (shield), very rare (requires attunement by a Magic Item Name - Divine Repeller Shield, Requires Attunement - True, Attunement Description - By Paladin, Cleric)

This Shield is reinforced with adamantine, one of the hardest substances in existence. While you’re wearing it, any Critical Hit against you becomes a normal hit.

While holding this Shield, you have a bonus to Armor Class determined by the Shield’s rarity, in addition to the Shield’s normal bonus to AC.

While holding this Shield, you have Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and spell attack rolls have Disadvantage against you.

  • If you aren't incapacitated, you can add your shield's AC bonus to any Dexterity saving throw you make against a spell or other harmful effect that targets only you.
  • If you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you can use your reaction to take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, interposing your shield between yourself and the source of the effect.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
