Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement)

This mighty shield is covered with the tail feathers of the fearsome wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo).  The item gives advantage on stealth checks and survival checks in wooden areas while equipped. The shield comes in two forms and it requires an action to switch between forms. Each form has an ability that expends charges. The charges are shared across the two forms. The item has a maximum of 5 charges and regains 1d4 charges at dawn.

Defensive. The shield's default state to be equipped as a shield. The shield offers an additional +1 to AC (total +3). Additionally, whenever you are hit by an attack, you can expend a charge to summon a turkey to attack your attacker. The effect is akin to the hellish rebuke spell DC 17 except it does slashing damage instead of fire damage. This damage is magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances. The effect can be upcast by one level for each additional charge spent.

Expanded.  The feathers fold out and grant you a flying speed of 60 ft. Additionally, whenever you are hit by an attack, you can expend a charge to surround yourself with feathers casting the shield spell.

You can expend 5 charges to cast Heroes' Feast. Once this ability is used, it can not be used again for seven days.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
