The Amulet of the Whispered Hunt is a relic steeped in blood and shadow. The flawless crimson gem embedded in its silver filigree setting gleams with an inner fire, its fractured core seeming to pulse faintly in the dark. The amulet’s origins are unknown, though whispers suggest it once belonged to a master assassin whose name has been stricken from all records. Its power bolsters the bearer’s resolve, survival instincts, and lethality in battle, allowing them to emerge victorious even in the most desperate of conflicts.

Combat Benefits
- Predator's Resilience: Grants resistance to piercing and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
- Vampiric Renewal: When you deal damage to a creature with a melee weapon attack, you regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt (rounded down). This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
- Silent Pursuit: You gain proficiency in Stealth. If you are already proficient, your proficiency bonus is doubled for checks using this skill. While attuned to the amulet, you cannot be tracked by nonmagical means unless you choose to leave a trail.
- Crimson Surge (Recharge 5–6): As a bonus action, you can activate the amulet’s power for 1 minute, gaining the following benefits:
- Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
- You gain advantage on attack rolls against creatures with less than their maximum hit points.
- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can immediately move up to half your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
- The Last Stand (Once per Long Rest): When reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can instead drop to 1 hit point. For the next minute, your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.
- Attack rolls made with melee weapons deal an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.
- Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can impose disadvantage on its next attack roll (no action required).
