This item once belonged to the famed gladiator Xanthis who was know for his ability to strike his foes down with one blow. No one knows the origin of this amulet but it is rumored that it was forged by the gods themselves.
The amulet appears as a silver amulet with sword carved into its face. Runes surround the outside of the amulet.
The amulet gives the uses a +2 to Critical hit chance for melee attacks, you now strike a critical blow on both a roll of 18-20. This is similar to the Champion ability and will stack with other critical hit bonuses.
On a roll a natural 20 the target must make a save DC16 Dex or be killed instantly. The death will differ depending on weapon type, examples:
- Slashing weapons: Decapitation
-Bashing weapons: Crushed skull
-Piercing weapons: A strike to the heart
If the creature is immune to the weapon type the creature still takes no damage or if it has resistance it will not be killed but the strike will inflict normal damage for a critical blow as if they don't have the resistance.
