Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a chosen Hero)

The blade of the ancient hero, awakened again by the grace of Meridius. Its power has been restored through the awakening.

While attuned,  grants its wielder the following benefits:

  • Attack and Damage Bonus: You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. On a hit, the weapon deals an extra 2d4 radiant damage. This damage is tripled on a critical hit instead of being doubled.

  • Divine Blessing: You can cast the Shield of Faith Spell once per short rest as a reaction, without expending a spell slot.
  • Divine Wrath: Oncer per long rest, you can instead of using your attack action channel the divine energy of the hero´s blade and bring forth a radiant slash of destruction in a 10 by 1,5 m line. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
  • Divine Guidance: You can cast guidance at will.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: Damage: Slashing, Damage: Radiant, chosen Hero, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
