This simple lute can transform into a variety of musical instruments; as an action, you can touch the item and transform it into any type of musical instrument of your choice (provided it can be carried by hand). If you are attuned to the All-Purpose Instrument, you are proficient with any particular musical instrument while it is in that form.
While holding this instrument, you gain a +1 bonus to the Spell Attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your Bard spells.
As a Magic action, you can focus on the instrument to channel your creative forces. Choose a Cantrip that you don't already know from any class list. For 8 hours, you can cast that Cantrip, and it counts as a Bard cantrip for you. Once this property is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
